Objectives & Functions
At our ministry every units and department is saddled with various objectives which perform a number of functions to ensure smooth running of the Department as we serve the public.Â
Financial Accountability
To guide against the occurrence of fraud, embezzlement and wastage of government resources by making sure that monies collected are properly and promptly accounted for.
Supervision of Accounting Systems
To establish, maintain and supervise approved accounting systems in all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Fund Management and Security
To ensure adequate security over Government funds by establishing and monitoring adequate Internal Control Systems through the Internal Audit Units in all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Financial Report
 To prepare yearly financial statements i.e. the final accounts as required by law.
